Frequently asked questions
Six questions,
six clear answers.
The questions my clients ask at our first meeting. Here they are, addressed calmly, before we've even met.
01 What's the difference with a private bank?
A private bank recommends, first and foremost, its own in-house products. Le Chêne Patrimonial is fully independent: no banking network behind it, no sales targets imposed. I can therefore build your allocation from the full range of what the market offers, and justify it solely by your situation, not mine.
02 How are you compensated?
Three possible mechanisms: advisory fees billed to the client, commissions paid by partners upon subscription, or a combination of the two. Before every transaction, you know precisely who is paying me, how, and how much. That is a non-negotiable condition of the practice.
03 Is there a minimum level of assets to consult you?
No. The first 30-minute conversation is open to everyone, and many of my clients aren't high-net-worth individuals in the classic sense. What matters is having income to structure, plans to prepare for, or a tax situation to optimise. The average case size and its complexity then determine whether ongoing support makes sense, for you as much as for me.
04 Remote or in person?
Both work equally well. The practice is based in Montpellier, where I meet clients in person. I work with clients across France by video call, under the same conditions. The quality of a wealth plan doesn't depend on where the conversation takes place, but on the rigour of the follow-up.
05 What if I'm not satisfied with the first conversation?
You walk away owing me nothing. That's the core commitment of the first meeting: 30 minutes offered, no obligation, no sales follow-up afterwards. If the fit doesn't feel right, or if your situation goes beyond what my practice can handle, I'll tell you directly, and point you elsewhere when it's relevant.
06 And after the first meeting?
If we decide to work together, I provide you with an engagement letter that formalises the scope, timeline and compensation. Then comes: a full wealth audit, costed recommendations, implementation of the chosen strategies, and ongoing follow-up (at least one annual review, more often if the situation requires it).
